Daniel Cohen
General Partner, Carmel Ventures
Bio: Daniel Cohen joined Carmel Ventures in mid-2013 as a General Partner, with more than 11 years of VC experience. Daniel investment interests include digital media and consumer internet. He currently serves on the board of Tapingo, LuckyFish and PlayBuzz.

Prior to joining Carmel, Daniel served as a General Partner in Gemini Israel Ventures from 2006 to 2012 and before that as a principal since 2001. In Gemini Daniel led investments and served as a board member in Adap.tv (acquired by AOL in 2013 for $405M), Outbrain, SupportSpace, Massive Impact, Watchdox, Eyeview and FTBPro. Daniel also managed Gemini's Silicon Valley office in the years 2006-2009.

Daniel is a graduate of the Kauffman Fellows Program and He holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Psychology from Tel Aviv University an MBA from INSEAD.

Bio: Yael Alkalay is an Innovation Strategy Lead at IBM Mobile Innovation Lab. The lab leverages IBM's portfolio of products and partnerships to envision exceptional solutions that provide value to people in new ways. Yael is part of the lab leadership team, responsible for driving a culture of design and innovation. She distills forward-thinking concepts in entrepreneurship specializing in product strategy, user experience design, and design thinking.

Yael is a Fulbright scholar, she was a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab and a visiting artist at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in NYC. She holds a Master in Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and a B.DES cum laude in Design from The Bezalel Academy Of Arts & Design in Jerusalem.

Over the last few years Yael has received a number of excellence awards, including the UNESCO, AT&T, America-Israel Cultural Foundation, Fulbright alumni prize, The Israel Community of Designers and more.

Yael is passionate about art, design, and technology.
Bio: A passionate corporate entrepreneur and product manager with over a decade of experience developing and successfully taking to market leading mobile products, apps and services.
Bio: Rachel has established and maintains a network of contacts with Zuznow's distributors and clients in order to generate sales of the product. Prior to Zuznow, Rachel developed and managed projects worth hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, starting with the strategic concept and then leading partners, colleagues and staff through successful implementation. In 2010 Rachel co-founded Zuznow and crafted the company's marketing and sales strategy. Racheli holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations and an MA in European Studies, Political Science and Economy.
Bio: Dr. Bitton is a 58 y/o MD, specializing in Internal medicine and Cardiology. Yves is an entrepreneur and operates as the CEO of MedTrix, the parent company of Doctome. Yves has more than 20 years' experience in developing and deploying telemedicine services around the globe.

Bio: Osnat Golan (45) joined Strauss 19 years ago. Osnat currently serves as VP Corp Communications, Digital & Sustainability at the Group. In this capacity she is responsible for managing all Group communications activities with strategic stakeholders, internal and external communications, and manages the digital domain.Osnat is leading the digital transformation at the Group, including new business models and new capabilities.

Several years ago she was part of the team that managed the merger between Strauss and Elite and built the new Corporate Identity.

Osnat, married with 3 children, likes design, music and sports.
Bio: Within Intel central platform engineering group, David is responsible for setting the strategy and management of roadmap of technology building blocks within and around Intel-based platforms - hardware, software and solutions. Focus these days is around bio-sensing and wearable computing and the establishment of an ecosystem partnerships.
Bio: Etai Granit is the Founder and CEO of BitBite, an Automatic Dietary Recording System (ADRS) that combines a wearable tracking system with real-time analytics for direct-response, power-of-suggestion that helps consumers improve eating habits and achieve weight loss.

Etai has over 18 years of entrepreneurial and R&D experience specifically in the tech industry, and was passionate about developing a technology that can help the world in today's number one health problem: overweight & obesity.

Prior to founding BitBite, Etai was the Founder & CEO of Infra-Ad, an ad server platform for Web advertisers and publishers based on search and behavioral targeting. While leading the company, Infra-Ad exceeded over $5 Million in revenue. From 2004-2010 Etai served as a field officer at Israel's Prime Minister Office. He also served as a VP of Sales and VP of R&D at iMDsoft, a private company that develops and sells clinical information systems in intensive care units and operating rooms in hospitals worldwide. He began his career in tech as the CEO of Supermedia and hasn't left the industry since.

Outside of the office, Etai volunteers as the head of the local municipality committee in his hometown & serves as a mentor for young enterprenours.
Etai holds a BA in Law from Tel Aviv University as well as a MBA from Ono Academic College. He is fluent in English, Hebrew and Arabic.
Etai loves to play Tennis, travel around the world and read philosophic books.
Bio: Dr. Ethan Hadar is the founder and CEO of gamifo.com. Gamifo assist businesses to easily collaborate and gather insights around targeted marketing. Within the context of consumers' social interaction, leveraging Gamifo's social engagement and word-of-mobile platform, affiliation members can contextually promote their products and improve sales conversion rates. Prior to Gamifo, Ethan was the CTO of AGT International in Zurich, focusing on smart city analytics, social media and crowdsourcing in homeland security. Beforehand, Ethan worked at CA Technologies, as SVP for Global Technical Strategy, Reference Architecture, and Research innovating in the domains of cloud, big data and security.

Bio: Roee leads the X-Force Application Security Research Team at IBM. His team specialized in web, network and mobile security, and has disclosed vulnerabilities in many products, including Android, Dropbox and Apache Cordova.
Bio: Erez Metula is a world renowned application security expert, spending most of his time finding software vulnerabilities and teaching developers how they should avoid them. Erez has an extensive hands-on experience performing security assessments, code reviews and secure development trainings for worldwide organizations, and had previously talked at international security conferences such as Black Hat, Defcon, OWASP, RSA, SOURCE, CanSecWest and more. His latest research on Managed Code Rootkits, presented at major conferences throughout the world, was published as a book by Syngress Publishing. He is the founder of AppSec Labs, where he focuses on advanced application security topics. Erez holds an MSc in computer science and he is CISSP.
Bio: Eli Purian Lead Back-end, and core team member at Nuro Secure Messaging LTD.
Before joining Nuro, he Co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of Brainpickin a disruptive knowledge technology startup. Prior to that Eli Managed the Enterprise Client Computing at Elbit Systems (TLV:ESLT). He also Co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer at "Zmani" a leading online employment solution for people seeking temporary jobs. Eli acquired his Technological background in the IDF intelligence corps were he served as a First Lieutenant and holds a B.A in Business Administration degree from Ruppin Academic Center.
Bio: Orly Shoavi has held leading positions in R&D, Product Management, Product Marketing and Business Development. Orly, who focused her entire career on the mobile industry, began as a software engineer at Intel and Radvision and as an Applications Team Leader at modu. She then shifted her focus to Product Management and Business Development at Telmap, which led her back to Intel after the company's acquisition. There she was part of the management team of the New Devices Israel Group. Orly teaches at the Computer Science Faculty at IDC.

Orly is an 8200-alumni and holds a BSc. and an MSc. in Computer Science, both from the Technion (Cum Laude) and an MBA from Tel Aviv University (Cum Laude).

Bio:
Bio: Noam is an entrepreneur that combines knowledge and experience in technology, business and the humanities. He holds a B.Sc. in physics and computer science and an MA in East Asian studies. After developing software products for the telecom industry at TTI-Telecom, Noam went on to specialize in Chinese, taught Hebrew and Talmudic studies at Shandong University and conducted extensive research in China.

Noam has initiated and negotiated business deals between Chinese and Israeli companies in the field of Ed-Tech. While teaching Chinese @ the IDC Herzliya and witnessing his students suffering from interruption overload, Noam came up with the idea to make phones non-interruptive, which later took the form of a patent and a startup – Shmooz.
Bio: Dr. Daniel M. Yellin is the Vice President, IBM Mobile Platform Development, and an IBM Distinguished Engineer. He is responsible for the WW development of IBM's Mobile First Platform, which includes Mobile First Platform Foundation and Mobile Cloud Services. These offerings are helping enterprises transform to reach new customers, to engage them in novel ways, and to streamline internal business processes. He also leads the Israel Software Lab, with more than 650 developers building software products over a wide range of technologies.

Previously Daniel was Director of Software Technology at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, and before that he was the Manager of IBM's Insurance Application Architecture Team. Dr. Yellin joined IBM in 1987 after completing a doctorate in computer science at Columbia University. He has authored over 30 journal and conference papers as well as two computer science books and has held numerous positions in professional associations. He is a senior member of ACM and IEEE, has served on multiple conference committees. In 2012 he was a member of the IBM Academy of Technology Leadership Team.
Bio: Gabi Zodik is the Mobile First Research Global Leader, as well as the Department Group Manager of the IBM Haifa Research Lab Mobile and Industry Solution Dept. He oversees the lab's research and development efforts in Mobile, Wearable, IoT, Space Time Services, and emerging Cloud Computing platforms (such as Bluemix). In his MobileFirst global role, Gabi oversees all the research activities in Mobile. He also serves as the relationship manager for IBM MobileFirst with Research. He has an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Technion, and an MBA from the University of Haifa.
