What’s Next in Quantum is frictionless development
What’s Next in Quantum is frictionless development
Our vision
Quantum computing will empower us to take on challenges that have long been viewed as too complex and intractable for classical computers or even AI. But first we have to make it simple to use.
We're pioneering specialized hardware and building libraries of circuits to empower researchers, developers and businesses to tap into quantum as a service through the cloud, using their preferred coding language and without having to be quantum experts themselves.
Together, we will maximize the potential of quantum through the combination of powerful technologies and open-source innovation. We hope you’ll join us!
Strategy
Four workstreams will achieve our vision
To make quantum frictionless for everyone from developers to researchers and enthusiasts, we’re innovating across the entire stack.
Quantum information science ↓This starts by continuing to advance foundational quantum information science, from exploring and developing new quantum algorithms to reducing error rates to ensure more accurate and reliable results.
Quantum hardware ↓In parallel, we’re building specialized quantum hardware and systems to deliver on our commitment to at least double Quantum Volume every year while also increasing qubit count.
Quantum circuits and software ↓We’re also investing heavily in the development of quantum circuits and software to explore and develop compelling use cases for this powerful new form of computing.
Global community ↓But this story isn’t just about us, which is why we’re building and nurturing a global community of developers and partners across industry, government, and academia to help us make this vision a reality.
