Laurent Balmelli has been appointed Vice-Chairman of the IEEE
Westchester chapter.

Holly Rushmeier has been appointed to the ACM Publications Board. She has also
joined the editorial board of the new journal ACM Transactions on Applied Perception.

Holly Rushmeier has been elected to the
Eurographics Executive Committee. She will serve on the committee through 2005.

Aleksandra Mojsilovic, IEEE Signal Processing Society Young
Author Best Paper Award for 2001.

Fred Mintzer has been elected President of the IEEE
Signal Processing Society. He will begin a term as President Elect
in 2002 and as President in 2004. The IEEE Signal Processing Society provides
the technical community with IEEE activities in signal processing, speech
processing, image processing and other signal-processing-related areas.
With over 20,000 members, the Signal Processing Society is the fourth largest
IEEE Society.

"Non-Photorealistic Volume Rendering Using Stippling Techniques".

Gunter Enderle Award (best technial paper) at Eurographics 2002 for
their paper "Space-Optimized Texture Maps".
