We are excited to announce that this is the newest iteration of the "New Information Technology: Ways & Means" minitrack, which was organized by Dan Russell and Jonathan Grudin in January of 2007. Dan and Jonathan had a blog where they posted their thoughts about how some of the emerging technologies are changing the ways we use information today. 

In fact, this minitrack has been running for several years and it has an established presence at HICSS. Dan Russell was one of the minitrack co-organizers a number of times:
