Eric Gilbert

Intern

I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of
Illinois, working in Human-Computer Interaction. I got interested in
visualization because of my math background and because my advisor
Karrie exposed me to great work. I recently authored a visualization
of open source communities called CodeSaw. Before coming to UIUC, I
developed software for two labs and spent two years teaching in a
Chicago high school with the service organization Teach For America.
