Model Driven Systems Engineering

Model-Driven Systems Engineering (MDSE) is a new design methodology that uses a model-driven approach to automate the systems engineering processes by using SysML, an OMG standard modeling language. SysML provides a formal way to describe complex systems such as automobile, airplane, or electromechanical products that have interactions among mechanical, electronic, and software components. Our MDSE solution consists of a set of tools that support SysML modeling for project design, data management, and development project management. In this project we are developing a model-driven approach to solve the following problems that are frequently encountered in industries such as automobiles, aerospace & defense, and electronics: (1) management of design variants, (2) management of requirements, and (3) validation of the system-level integrity.
