Periodic noise reduction

Before

Figure 1 shows a spectrogram of a speech recorded at the 2006 IBM Massachusetts Technical Symposium. The speech was recorded with a close-talk microphone, but accidentally included continuous periodic noise possibly generated by interference from some electrical devices.

After

Figure 2 shows a spectrogram of the recording processed by "Texture-SS", a novel noise reduction technology developed by TRL. The distracting noise has been reduced significantly.
