- JAWS for Windows(IBM Version) Version 4.5 -

JAWS V4.5 is the Windows XP enabled version of the JAWS V3.7 for Windows 2000/98 used by many people since its availability in April, 2001. Usability has been improved by implementing many new user friendly features and braille support as well as many enhancements to existing features.

Digital divide is one of the key items in the e-Japan Project which has been launched in 2001 aimed at making Japan the most IT advanced country in the world in 5 years. It can be said that this is the era when e-business will grow in BtoB and BtoC. So it is believed that it would become increasingly important to support PwD and Senior people at home, schools, workplace.

To provide solution to these demands, IBM has released JAWS V4.5 as a tool for visually impaired individuals to access IT at home, schools, workplace with special emphasis being put on promoting Dynamic Workplaces(TM).
