To assist to reuse the accumulated 3D model data across divisions, companies and time is an objective of this 3D Web environment project.
The 3D Web environment system consists of 3D geometry search module and synchronous/asynchronous 3D collaboration module. The functions of the synchronous/asynchronous 3D collaboration are;
- Operation recording/playback
- Real-time contents sharing
By using this system integrated with ProductManager TM (PM. Product data management tool by Dassault Systems SA & IBM.) or Virtual Product Model TM (VPM. Virtual product development management tool by Dassault Systems SA & IBM.), the user can reuse shared ideas and reasons of design change in a database to compress his/her product development lifecycle.
