My research area is software engineering, with emphasis on an empirical approach. I am interested in accumulating and sharing knowledge that can help people create better software/systems/services with less effort. The specific research interests include software defect (bug) patterns, defect prediction, education in software engineering, and metrics.

My current project is on quality improvement of services/software projects. In the past, I have worked on several research projects in other areas, such as:
