His research interests include robust speech recognition, auditory speech processing, and human–computer interface. He is a member of IEEE, the International Speech Communication Association(ISCA), the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers(IEICE), the Information Processing Society of Japan(IPSJ)，and the Acoustical Society of Japan(ASJ)
- Recieved the Ph.D. degree from Toyohashi University of Technology, Toyohashi, Japan in March 2005.
- Joined IBM Research - Tokyo in April 2005.
