 Preparation
- Computer(s):
First of all, you need at least one host computer on which TCP/IP is already installed.
Even if only a single computer is available for your experiments with mobile agents,
you can set up multiple environments for running aglets (aglet servers)
on the single machine and move aglets between your aglet servers.
Detailed system requirements are described in the document in the ASDK download package.
- Java Development Kit (JDK):
You need to install Java on your machine(s). ASDK Version 1.0/ASDK Version
1.1 Beta requires you to have installed the following:
- JDK 1.1 or later (but not JDK 1.2.)
Please remind that we are not providing ASDK which runs on JDK 1.2 (or Java2).
Even if you do not know how to get a JDK, you can also find the URLs in the download package.
- ASDK download package:
Please read the license agreement,
download Aglet Software Development Kit,
and complete the setting of your system environment.
Then start Tahiti, which is an application program
that can create and monitor the execution of aglets.
Detailed information on setting the environment and starting up
Tahiti are also provided with this download package.
