- IBM Computational
Biology Center
- The IBM Computational Biology Center, based at the T. J. Watson Research Center in
Yorktown Heights, NY, was begun in 1996 in order to foster basic and
applied research in sequence analysis, structure prediction, and
protein folding.
- Splash
and
Teiresias
- Splash and Teiresias are IBM's algorithms for pattern discovery
in arbitrary discrete and continuous-valued data. Both have
valuable applications in biology, computer security, financial
systems, and other domains.
- PROSITE and
SWISS-PROT
- SWISS-PROT is a database of protein sequences annotated by function,
and PROSITE is a collection of sequence patterns by functional
family.
- InterPro
- The InterPro project seeks to integrate sequence motifs from
PROSITE, BLOCKS, and Pfam, into a single
resource called InterPro.
