University Partnerships

There are many ways we work with faculty and students at major universities in the area of software engineering. Here are some examples of such collaborations:

2001-2002 IBM Student Research Fellowship Award:

  • John DeVale (ECE Department,Carnegie Mellon University)

2001-2002 Faculty Partnership:

  • Professor Lori Clarke, Department of Computer Science, University of Massachusetts at Amherst in the area of software verification via data flow algorithms.
  • Professor Barry Boehm, TRW Professor of Software Engineering, University of Southern California in the area of software estimation models.

Joint Study:

  • Professor Phil Koopman, ECE Department, Carnegie Mellon University in the area of software robustness testing

On Going Research

COQUALMO meets ODC: An active collaboration has begun between University of Southern California and the Center for Software Engineering in the area of linking software effort estimation to the number and nature of defects found during development. The goal is to expand the COQUALMO model to include the ODC based defect information.
