I am a research staff member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. My group is the System Theory and Analysis Group, in the Personal and Visual Systems Department.

My recent work is in:
	Autonomic Computing (in particular, Capacity Management and Software Rejuvenation); Memory XpansionTechnology (MXT); Statistical Pattern Recognition.
In recent years, I have also worked on:
	Multimedia Digital Libraries, such as the SPIRE and IBM ESIP-funded Projects (see my book). Multidimensional Indexing, Image processing
