Hi!!

This is a list of people who work in theory related areas at IRL. I have put brief introductions, ofcourse written by me :-) I hope they agree with me ;)

1. Vijay Kumar. Dr. Vijay Kumar, is known to his friends as Kumar Sahib :-) To quote Mr Vijay about himself, "I went to school at IIT-Delhi, and Northwestern University. I have been living in Delhi for two years, where I play badminton, go to concerts, travel, and try to get some research done". Vijay likes to work on any problem that involves algorithmics. Contact Vijay.

2. Abhinanda Sarkar. Dr. Abhinanda Sarkar has a PhD from Stanford University. Before joining IRL, Abhinanda taught at MIT(ofcourse, Massachusetts Inst. of Technology). His areas of interest include Statistics, probability, queuing, and modelling. Abhinanda has applied his expertise on problems many disciplines like image processing, financial problems, network modelling to name a few. At IRL, abhinanda has worked on media mining, weather modelling, auction modelling, and network related problems. Contact Abhinanda.

3.K Balaji. Dr, Balaji, known as Balu is a man of combinatorics. He worked on graph theory for his thesis at IIT-Kanpur. Currently Balaji works on developing approximation algorithms for auction related problems. Contact Balaji.

4. Johara Shahabuddin, Johara. Dr. Johara got her PhD from Cornell University, where she worked on various linear, and nonlinear optimization problems. Optimization continues to be her main area of interest. She is currently working on various optimization problems arising in scenarios typical in distributed computing environments. Contact Johara.

5. Manish Kurhekar, Maku. Mr. Manish Kurhekar has an MTech in computer science from IIT-Bombay. He worked on planar graphs for his masters project, in which he proves interesting results on partitionability of planar triangulated graphs. At IRL, Manish is working on combinatorial problems arising in computational biology and bio-informatics. Contact Manish.

6. Raghavendra Udupa, Udu. Mr. Raghavendra has an MTech in computer science from IIT-Bombay. He worked on separators for geometrically embedded graphs for his masters thesis. At IRL, he is working in Biometrics group. Contact Raghavendra.

7. Vinayaka Pandit, myself. I have an MTech from IIT-Bombay, and I am also a research scholar at IIT-Delhi, where I work with Naveen Garg. I have put links to my work at IIT-Delhi here. At IRL, I work with the biometrics group, and bio-informatics group, currently consisting of Manish, Sudeshna, and Myself. Contact Vinayak.
