Welcome to my Home Page

I have been a member of the research staff at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in New-York since July 1999. I received the B.S. degree in 1994 from the Faculte Polytechnique de Mons, Belgium and the M.Sc. degree in 1995 from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL), both in Electrical Engineering. I obtained the Ph.D. degree in June 1999 from EPFL in Computer Science at the Institute for computer Communications and Applications. During the summer of 1997, I was a visiting researcher at the Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in Palo Alto, CA.

My research lies within the areas of scalable media servers, architectures for media distribution, multimedia compression and streaming, network calculus, and vision science.
