Data Management Research

      We are the Data Management Group at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and
       our mission is to engage in fundamental and applied research in the broad areas of
       databases, digital libraries, data mining, and internet data management.
      We are currently engaged in several exciting projects in these different topics.

Databases:

Query processing, indexing, clustering, parallelism, OLAP.

Digital libraries:

Image mining, federated data repositories, time series, compression.

Data mining

Algorithms (Associations, Classification, etc.) and their applications.

Internet data management and consumer information systems:

Content Adaptation for the Internet.
XML Repositories.
SmartPad Project.
