Errata

In the paper “z/OS support for the IBM TotalStorage Enterprise Storage Server” by A. S. Meritt, J. A. Staubi, K. M. Trowell, G. Whistance, and H. M. Yudenfriend, which appeared in the IBM Systems Journal Vol. 42, No. 2, pages 280 through 301, the term “StorWatch” should be replaced by “IBM” as follows:

  1. On page 285, the second sentence in paragraph 3, column 2, should read:

“These definitions must match the configuration customization of the ESS setup by the IBM ESS Specialist.10 (The IBM ESS Specialist is a Web application that provides the interface for customizing and controlling ESS.)”

  2. On page 286, paragraph 2, column 1, should read:

Initial assignment of aliases. The initial setup using the IBM ESS Specialist designates the number of alias devices for each base device within the LSS.”

  3. On page 287, in Figure 3, the label at bottom right should read:

“IBM ESS SPECIALIST INITIALLY ASSIGNS ALIAS TO BASE.”
