Biographical sketches of authors

Liam Fahey   115 Lincoln Street, Needham, Massachusetts 02492 (electronic mail: lfahey95@aol.com). Dr. Fahey is adjunct professor of strategic management at Babson College and visiting professor of strategic management at Cranfield University (U.K.). Previously, he served on the faculty at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and at Boston University's School of Management. He is the author or editor of eight books and over 40 articles or book chapters. He holds B. Comm. and M.B.S. degrees from University College Dublin and a Ph.D. (business administration) degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Rajendra Srivastava   The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business, Department of Marketing, CBA 7.202, Austin, Texas 78712-1176 (electronic mail: Rajendra.Srivastava@bus.utexas.edu). Dr. Srivastava is the Jack R. Crosby Regent's Chair in Business and Professor of Marketing and Management Science and Information Systems at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. He is also the Daniel J. Jordan Research Scholar at the Goizueta Business School, Emory University. He holds a B. Tech. (Honors) degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and an M.S. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Rhode Island. His M.B.A. and Ph.D. (business administration) degrees are from the University of Pittsburgh.

Joyce Shems Sharon   15 Pinewood Avenue, Natick, Massachusetts 01760 (electronic mail: shemssharon@yahoo.com). Ms. Sharon, formerly an associate consultant with the IBM Institute for Knowledge Management in Cambridge, MA, is currently pursuing her master's degree in international business relations at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. In her former position she was responsible for leading and conducting cutting-edge knowledge management and e-business research. She specializes in the areas of knowledge intermediation as well as knowledge management and e-business.

David E. Smith   IBM Global Services, 11400 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas 78758 (electronic mail: davides@us.ibm.com). Mr. Smith is an executive consultant with IBM's E-Business Strategy and Change group and formally an executive consultant with IBM's Worldwide Knowledge Management competency effort. Mr. Smith specializes in the areas of knowledge management and e-business, knowledge transfer, helping organizations align knowledge practices within their current organizational structure, and facilitating knowledge practices through GroupWare and the Internet. He has worked over 15 years in business and information technology areas solving complex business problems.
