Kenneth Haase

Dr. Haase is the Chief Scientist of the Media Laboratory's News in the Future consortium and a visiting associate professor at the Media Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1990 at the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, working with Marvin Minsky and philosopher Thomas Kuhn on models of computer creativity. He is also a part-time professor of journalism and mass communications at the University of Tampere in Finland. His research interests include knowledge representation, natural language processing, information retrieval, and creativity.
