San Francisco Frameworks

Rapid development of business software for critical distributed applications is the focus of the San Francisco frameworks, which are the result of efforts by IBM and more than 130 independent software vendors (ISVs), and the theme of this issue. There is an introductory paper and five other papers on the theme, plus three papers on software requirements and code restructuring.
