Chang that appeared in the IBM Systems Journal, Vol. 36, No. 3, pages 411 through 436, contained an error in Figure 9 on page 428. The figure above replaces the original Figure 9. In the original, the state represented by a box in the lower right should have had the label "P." In this updated version of the figure, other labels have been revised to improve the readability and to help the reader understand the accompanying text.
