The cover picture is a polyhedral representation of an organic-inorganic perovskite based on anionic sheets of corner-sharing lead(II) bromide octahedra alternating with dye layers of protonated 5,5'''-bis(aminoethyl)-2,2':5',2'':5'',2'''-quarterthiophene. A section of the extended structure (obtained from D. B. Mitzi with the processing assistance of T. M. Jackman) is viewed approximately along the crystallographic c axis.
