What is GOTCHA-TCBeans?
The GOTCHA-TCBeans Software Test Tool Kit is a framework designed to assist testers in developing, executing, and organizing function tests directed against Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and software protocols written in Java, C, or C++.
Why use GOTCHA-TCBeans?
Test time is saved because the tool kit supports reuse of many common testing functions. Test quality and complexity is enhanced because the tool kit supports a systematic approach to test suite generation. The systematic approach, in turn, yields higher functional coverage, exposing more defects early in the software development cycle. Testing is a more varied activity, since the repetetive, non-creative tasks associated with testing are automated, shielding against the high attrition rate associated with testing personnel. Distributed application testing is simplified by enabling a single test to propagate transparently across many host computers.
Why use GOTCHA-TCBeans?
- PC running Linux, Windows 2000, Windows NT, OR Unix machine.
- Java Development Kit Release 1.2 or higher.
- Java Runtime Environment Release 1.2 or higher.
- Any C++ compiler (gcc - free from redhat, MS Visual C++ from Microsoft, Visual Age C++ from IBM, etc.).
