Core IHII Components
The IHII Haifa team activities focus on developing the solution's core server side components. These components provide the back end IT for sharing healthcare data:
- IHII Registry - maintains metadata about each registered document, including a link to the repository from which it can be retrieved. The IHII registry receives requests from repositories to register documents and responds to queries from the consumers' applications about documents that meet specific criteria.
- IHII Repository - ensures that a document is persistently stored and can retrieve the document from its persistent storage. The IHII repository also responds to requests for documents that it previously registered. There may be many repositories within a clinical affinity domain (CAD).
Other IHII groups are working to develop a set of client side components and patient identity cross management services, to interact with the IHII solution and to complete the XDS profile requirements.
