Call for attendees - IBM Haifa hosts ECMDA international conference on model driven architecture

IBM Haifa Labs News Center

April 18, 2007

Registration is now open. The third European Conference on Model Driven Architecture® Foundations and Applications will take place in Haifa, Israel on June 11 - 15, 2007.

Model-Driven Architecture MDA® is an initiative proposed by the Object Management Group (OMG) for platform-generic software development. It promotes the use of models in the specification, design, analysis, synthesis, deployment, and evolution of complex software systems.

ECMDA-FA is dedicated to furthering the state of knowledge and fostering the industrialisation of the MDA methodology. Its focus is on engaging the key European research and industrial figures in a dialogue which will result in a stronger, more efficient industry, producing more reliable software on the basis of state-of-the-art research results.

The 2007 conference is organised in two tracks of interest dealing with the foundations and applications of MDA. There will be additional workshops, a consultancy corner, and tools exhibitions on these subjects.

The conference is being hosted by the IBM Haifa Labs in Israel and will be held in Haifa, the third largest city in Israel. Haifa is the home of the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa University, and a developed hi-tech industry sector including the research and development sites of IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Google, Qualcomm, and other multi-nationals.
