Logic Design and Verification

Overview

The Logic Design and Verification group focuses on ASIC & IP development for a wide range of areas, including various kinds of bus interfaces, I/Os, serial interfaces, and Internet bridges. The group participated in the development of the Xbox 360 processor and the Cell processor north bridge. They are also recognized as the IBM center of knowledge for the PCI Express domain. The engineers have an in depth understanding of verification technologies and verification methodologies, which include block level verification using simulation and formal verification methods, as well as system level / SOC verification.

The group works closely with IBM internal and external clients to help take their designs through IBM's ASIC flow; this includes providing account management as well as a full back-end processing solution. The team has expertise in IBM internal tools as well as a wide variety of industry tools.
