Analog and Mixed Signal Technologies
The Analog and Mixed Signal (A&MS) group is historically chartered with development of tools and methodologies in support of advanced analog design. Several novel design methodologies have been successfully developed within the group, including the high precision on-chip interconnect modeling (which has been verified up to 200GHz and is extensively employed in virtually all IBM-supplied PDKs) and an automatic analog design migration tool (patented technology). In recent years, the research focus has expanded to include technological demonstrators, pursuing the advancement of analog design beyond the traditional CMOS envelope. The broad effort spans the entire electronics domain of communication, radar, and high resolution imaging.
The A&MS team works in collaboration with other IBM labs and universities such as the Technion in Haifa and Tel Aviv University.
