Contextual Processing
In contextual processing, automatically recognized data is verified against existing databases and other arithmetic and logical tests.
Contextual processing uses the semantics of the forms and document content as an aid to improving recognition (e.g., street name, occupation, etc).
Using external information such as dictionaries, postal and phone directories, and business process databases enables automatic determination of the probable location for errors and their subsequent correction and validation.
