Description:
This student position involves working in software QA in the IBM Israel Software Lab. The selected candidate will conduct manual and automated testing, write test plans, test on multiple platforms, set up servers and implement testing solutions for a complex environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must be highly technical individuals, with strong troubleshooting skills and able to adapt to new technologies and applications. Candidates must be able to work well under pressure, provide quick turnaround, and work both independently and as part of a team. Good interpersonal and self-management skills are required, and candidates must have proven experience in taking initiative and assuming responsibility over areas within a department. Very good spoken and written English are required. A background in QA with experience in writing test plans and planning test scenarios is an advantage, as is knowledge of one or more of the following: SQL, MySQL, Unix (AIX, HP, Solaris), Linux (SuSE, RedHat). At least three days of work per week are required.
Education:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. student in computer science (or equivalent) with at least two years left to their studies.
