Description:
Seeking Platform QA Engineer for opportunity to work in an exciting, rapidly expanding area of mobile technology. Worklight (www.worklight.com) is a leading mobile application platform for smartphones and tablets, recently acquired by IBM. The Worklight Mobile Platform enables large businesses to efficiently develop, publish and manage secure smartphone applications for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, iPad, Windows Phone and more. Worklight's software is used by some of the world's largest organizations.
Responsibilities for this position include product functionality testing, exercising API's and component combinations, and performing UI testing.
Maintaining and extending test coverage along with usage of appropriate tools, utilities and automation scripts that assist in functional testing and to create test data
The candidate should be a proven team player who goes beyond the boundaries of the QA organization to solicit information and direction for improving processes.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of QA experience.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge in QA methodologies and practices.
- Experience with testing of client-server applications.
- Development experience in object oriented languages or mobile application development.
- Ability to work independently in an agile environment
Advantages:
- Past experience in agile methodologies such as "Scrum".
- Experience with testing of mobile applications.
Important note: The position requires API testing experience. Thus candidates who do not have some development experience will not be relevant.
