Senior Security Researcher

Description:
This position involves researching new technologies and security innovations and responsibility for the security logic of IBM Rational Application Security products. The selected candidate will be responsible for improving the security aspects of the products; initiating technical solutions for security problems; actively leading the industry in identifying new types of security threats and alerting the community about them via papers and presentations; performing ethical penetration testing as a way of identifying such new types of vulnerabilities; and finding innovative ways to automate the detection of such security vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least four years of experience in security research (experience in the web application field is an advantage) and knowledge and experience in web technologies (web applications, web servers, HTML, HTTP, JavaScript, Flash, etc.). A professional level of spoken and written English is required. Candidates should be capable of working independently and self-learning, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates should also be able to work in a team environment, meet tight deadlines, and work on several projects simultaneously. Experience in paper writing and software development are advantages.
Education:
B.A./B.Sc. is an advantage.
