Description:
This position involves leading one of the core teams in XIV R&D. As the team's manager, the selected candidate will lead the team through challenges ranging from tactical problem investigations to the planning and designing of strategic projects. The XIV culture is a high performance one with a great emphasis on the product architecture and quality, hence we're looking for a candidate with both excellent leadership abilities and outstanding technical skills.

Job role:

• Lead a team of 7-10 software engineers
• Responsible for planning and execution of new features for the XIV product
• Working closely with QA, customer support, product management and other organizational units

Requirements:

• Management
  • Team management experience of at least 5 software engineers (2+ years)
  • Project management experience
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast changing environment with tight deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluent English
• Technical
  • Proficiency in C (at least five years experience)
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux internals and kernel
  • Excellent software design and engineering skills
  • Proven technical leadership (initiation, leading and designing of innovative projects)
  • Proven troubleshooting skills

Education:
