Description:
This student position involves working part-time (25 hours per week) performing functional and system-level testing for ProtecTier, IBM's innovative data de-duplication product line solutions. The selected candidate will participate in requirement analysis and design meetings; develop and execute test plans based on product requirements and functional specifications; conduct problem determination analysis for problems detected during testing; log defects and work with development teams to ensure the defect is being resolved; and work according to aggressive work plans in collaboration with other worldwide testing teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must be familiar with UNIX operating systems. Fluent written and spoken English are required. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical reasoning, troubleshooting capabilities, as well as an understanding of analysis techniques for troubleshooting problems remotely are required.
Education:
Students studying for a B.A. or B.Sc. in computer science or an exact science, at a recognized university or college with an 85+ average.
