Description:
This position involves working with the Security Research team in the field of web application security. The selected candidate will research new technologies and security innovations; assume responsibility for and enhance the security content of IBM Rational AppScan products; provide technical solutions for security problems; perform ethical penetration testing; participate in security forums and related discussions; and gather and apply information concerning vulnerabilities, hacking techniques, and new attacks.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a strong security research background. Experience writing whitepapers is an advantage. Candidates must be able to work and learn new concepts independently. Knowledge of Internet web topics (web applications, web servers, HTML, HTTP, XML, etc.) is required. Knowledge in web application security and development experience are advantages. Candidates should also have very good English skills.
Education:
B.A./B.Sc. in computer science or related field.
