Game 1, white

Commentary for white move 18:
Mr. SEIRAWAN: Exactly.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: And clearly that's not a handicap against
Deep
Blue, which isn't looking at anything. But does that mean that
it's actually -- that Kasparov is less good than he would be if
he also had a poker face?
Mr. SEIRAWAN: Okay, the question was concerning the fact that
Garry displays his emotions so clearly, and is that a
detriment? Clearly against Deep Blue it's not, but against a
human being, if he were to have a poker face, would he be more
formidable, and I think the answer is yes. I have played Garry
and I really know when I'm doing well, and I get energy from
that, it's like I'm inspired because I say, "Oh, look at the
red face, look at the shaking head," you know he's missed
something.
Mr. SEIRAWAN: We do have a move.
Mr. ASHLEY: Rd5, as you said.
