Yiming Ye

Yiming Ye obtained his MS degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences and his Ph.D in Computer Vision from University of Toronto. He joined IBM T.J. Watson Research Center as a Research Staff Member in 1997. He is interested in web intelligence, electronic commerce, pervasive computation, applied dynamics of computation and complex systems, multi-agent system, natural dialogue systems and computer vision and image processing.

He is an Associate Editor for Electronic Commerce Research Journal, Baltzer Science Publishers and on Advisory Board of Conferences and Workshops of Intelligent System Division of National Instiute of Standards and Technology (http://www.isd.mel.nist.gov/conferences/performance_metrics/advisory_bd.html). He was the Chair of Workshop on Agents in Electronic Commerce held in Hong Kong in 1999 and will be the Demo Chair of First Asian-Pacific Conference on Web Intelligence 2001. He was a Department Representative at IBM EXPO 2000, the biggest expo at IBM research within five years. He serves as PC members of various international conferences in robotics, AI, and intelligent agent.

His is listed in Marquis Who is Who in Science and Engineering, Millennium Edition.

He likes travel and his dream is to visit every part of the world.
