We have developed a new LCD technology, Roentgen, representing a major technology breakthrough, significantly improving LCD performance over previous technologies. It's the first flat panel display that provides high resolution images, which are far better than CRTs, and can be compared with color laser printers.
IBM Research is also working with Organic Light-Emitting Devices (OLEDs) for display applications. Features include extremely low-voltage operation, high luminous-power efficiency and high peak brightness.
