Autonomic Computing

Agenda 2001

Explanatory Notes
This challenge is greater than any single I/T company. To be fully realized, it requires collaboration between leading labs and cross-industry cooperation on standards and the funding of research programs in universities.

IBM has already begun project eliza, an ambitious initiative to move autonomic innovations into products. We're working with customers and partners for strategic directions on how best to do this. We've also made Autonomic Computing a top priority for our Research Division, and will hold regular academic conferences to share work and results in this area.
