| Public Session
The public session will begin with keynote talks from two
industry experts, Roger Schmidt and Kazuaki Yazawa. Roger
Schmidt, Chief Thermal Architect for IBM Server Group, is
responsible for cooling in x, i, p and zSeries. Kazuaki Yazawa,
Chief Thermal Engineer at Sony Computer Entertainment, is
working in research and development of thermal packaging technology
for VAIO computers. Afterwards, the program will continue
with invited academic talks from Dr. Jan M. Rabaey (University
of California at Berkeley), Dr. Mary Jane Irwin (University
of Penn State), and Dr. David Albonesi (University of Rochester).
The day will conclude with technical talks given by IBM researchers.
