The Austin Center for Advanced Studies has expanded a UT Speaker Series that was begun for the ECE Department at the University of Texas at Austin. This series was founded by Joshua Friedrich, Technical Leader and IC Design Engineer for IBM's Enterprise Server Group. The program's success is now being maintained by a wide variety of IBM divisions.

For the last two years, UT-Austin Faculty in CS and ECE have extended invitations to IBM techical leaders to be one-day Guest Speakers at a variety of undergraduate and graduate-level courses. The UT Speaker Series is now expanding the scope of topics to those relevant to Computer Science, the Business School, and other UT Colleges who may have an interest to have an IBM Speaker visit their classrooms. This is a wonderful opportunity for IBM to share industry insights with students.
