Model-Driven Systems Engineering
With growing complexity in future vehicles, due to increasing safety, environmental and customer requirements, the traditional product development practices can no longer manage the dependencies between attributes and features. The result can be an increased number of engineering changes, being late to market or, even worse, a reduced sales volume, all of which have a significant financial impact.
Solution
The IBM Model-Drive Systems Engineering (MDSE) solution consists of a set of tools that support SysML modeling for project design, data management, and actual development project management. By automating the system-level requirement verification and simulation phases, we can frontload the risk analysis and trade off analysis. We are also able to maintain the synchronization of the engineering cycle, including engineering changes, with the system model.
Benefits
- Methods and tools to support SysML-based systems engineering for product modeling, project design, and data management
- Improves effectiveness of design partner collaboration
- Ensures delivery of defined requirements
- Provides higher level of at-launchproduct quality
- Offers a repeatable and lower risk approach
