Hardware Platforms Attachement Card

IBM Research has implemented reference hardware platforms for Bluetooth wireless applications.

Attachment card is either a serial card or a USB card that can be attached to a computing device.  This will enable those legacy devices to use the Bluetooth wireless technology.

Palm cradle is a serial cable replacing device using the Bluetooth wireless technology.  The Palm applications don't need to know anything about the Bluetooth wireless communication protocol.  The cradle takes care of service discovery and channel establishment and present data to Palm as if there is a serial cable.

LAN Access Point is a router for Bluetooth wireless devices allowing those devices to access the back bone network.  It is built and programmed based on the Bluetooth LAP profile.
